When we got the chance to interview Pair of Kings star Kelsey Chow, we decided to put the questions in your hands! We asked readers to submit questions for Kelsey and chose some of our faves to ask her! Check out her answers (and to see if your question made the cut!) below.
julessg24: Kelsey, what do you like most about acting?
Kelsey Chow: I really like telling stories. I think it’s so fun that we have the opportunity to tell stories about different times, different places, different people. I get to work with kings on this island where we surf, but we also fly and hunt! I think that really is the best part.
OrangePug: Do you have any celebrity crushes?
Kelsey Chow: I think it started when I was six, I was so in love with Leonardo DiCaprio when I saw Titanic. I cannot tell you how many posters and books I had. If I ever met him in real life, it would be surreal. But now, I love people like Chris Hemsworth and Andrew Garfield.
Jordan6201: Are you and the cast friends in real life? If so, what do you guys do together when you’re not on set?
Kelsey Chow: Absolutely. I think they are absolutely the biggest part of why I love coming to set every single day and when this season ends, that will be the hardest part – not seeing their faces every day. They’re my second family. We hang out on- and offset all the time. We’re total bowlers. We love to go bowling.
Mackbook: How is it working with a bunch of guys on set?
Kelsey Chow: I think it makes me a lucky girl. I’ve delved into the inside of the male mind, I know a lot – maybe too much – about boys. But they’re really sweet to me and look after me.
waterdrop97: What are you going to be 10 years from now?
Kelsey Chow: Ten years from now, I’ll be 30. That’s crazy. I definitely want to finish school. I would absolutely kill to [act] the rest of my life. Hopefully, I’m fortunate enough to do that. I’d like to explore dif kinds of acting, maybe do films or go back to theater.
Kelsey: I am a Kelsey too so, If you could change your name to anything or keep it the same, what would you do?
Kelsey Chow: So cool, another Kelsey! I’m very sentimental, so I think because of the fact that my parents chose Kelsey, I would never ever change it.
Bieberfever77: Hey, Kelsey. You are an awesome actress, I want to be an actress someday, too. Any tips for me?
Kelsey Chow: I’m from South Carolina. I think people think if you’re form a smaller hometown it’s not possible, but it’s totally possible. Take advantage of everything in your community. Dance, school productions, community theater. I can’t describe how awesome community theater is. You have so much fun doing it and you learn so much. And as long as you’re loving it, you’re doing everything right.
