Wipe away those series finale tears, iCarly and Victorious fans – both shows are going to live on! At least, kind of. The Powers That Be at Nickelodeon must have heard all our pleas, because they just announced that the iCarly and Victorious mash-up/spin-off (mash-off?) Sam and Cat has been picked up for a full season!
Nick order TWENTY episodes of the new half-hour comedy, which is going to bring together two of our fave characters from the shows — Jennette McCurdy’s sassy Sam and Ariana Grande’s sweetheart Cat. The two become roommates and team up for an after-school babysitting biz, which can only mean hilarious hi-jinks will happen.
We already know the ladies have great chemistry – they’re BFFs in real life, and have also already filmed another Nick movie (Swindle) together! Could 2013 be the Year of the Cat (and Sam)?
We are so excited for Sam and Cat, and can barely wait for the premiere (the exact date is unknown, but it’ll be sometime next year!). Jennette and Ariana are two of our absolute fave actresses, and we can’t help but keep our fingers crossed that bringing them together would also mean guest appearances from all of our other fave iCarly and Victorious characters!
