Bella Thorne (a.k.a. our favorite Hollywood do-gooder) recently teamed up with Power A Bright Future, Clorox’s annual school grant program. Basically, they give $200,000 to schools that want to create new programs or improve the ones they already have. There are more than 2,500 nominations — drama clubs, science labs, music programs and SO much more!

Bella wants to help get the word out, so she called us to chat about the program. Check it out:

BOP&TB: Hey Bella! Tell us why you decided to get involved with Power A Bright Future.
Bella: Well, all my friends go to regular schools. I hear them talk about their football fields, science labs, art and music programs — and they aren’t as good as they want them to be. I’ve always wanted to go to a regular high school, so this is really close to my heart. I’m really thankful that I was given the opportunity because it’s something I wanted to do!

BOP&TB: If you weren’t famous and you went to a regular school, what after-school program would you be involved in?
Bella: I would have to be in the drama club! I mean, I love drama — I act every day! Plus, It’s really easy for kids to improve their drama programs, and this program could help them.

BOP&TB: OK, so you have to tell us about the cute instagram photos you posted for Power A Bright Future! How did you come up with the fun ideas?
Bella: I wanted to give each of them a different feeling. Each one represents something you can help your school with. Like, for the athletic one, I’m on the trampoline with my dog, which I thought was hilarious! You gotta get the dog involved!
You can post photos of yourself and your school with the hashtag #YOLOPABF on Instagram. Show me how you want to make a difference at your school!
