As if traveling the world on tour and filming scenes for their upcoming 3D concert movie weren’t enough, the guys of One Direction have also been hitting the studio to work on their third album. #OverAchievers. We don’t mind though – it’s all for us fans, after all. While in they were stopped in Belfast, Niall caught up with some of the guys from British pop/rock band, McFLY to work on some more tunes for the new album. The band’s bassist, Dougie Poynter, spilled to BBC’s Newsbeat about their recent jam session.
“It hasn’t got a title at the moment but we wrote the song with Niall. He’s got some good ideas so had a lot of input,” said Dougie.
Um, we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to hear what Nialler has come up with!
This isn’t the first time One Direction has worked with McFLY. McFLY has helped write for 1D before on songs like “I Want,” “I Would” and “Irresistible.”
“They are smart guys. They know what they’re doing. They play to arenas and stadiums around the world, so I think it’s a bit of a challenge to come up with some songs to go with that,” he added.
Sounds like we’re in for some great stuff on the next album! What’s your favorite One Direction song? Are you excited to see them on tour this summer? Tell us on Twitter and in the comments below!
