Shawn Mendes has a lot of friend in the music industry, but he has a special relationship with John Mayer. The artists have developed a close bond after they first met last year, and John has helped Shawn adjust to his newfound fame.
In a new interview, Shawn explained how John has influenced his career:
“As a person I really relate to him and I think he’s awesome,” he gushed. “He’s a dude I can call — for him to be like, ‘Hey man, how’s life? You’re gonna be fine.’ And my anxiety levels down to a one instead of a 55. That’s something that’s really nice.”
