One of your favorite Disney movies is coming back in a major way!

Disney Channel just announced “Freaky Friday” will return to the screen as a DCOM and get a musical update based on the movie’s stage adaptation.

The movie will star Heidi Blickenstaff, who played the mom in the stage show, as the mother, and Cozi Zuehlsdorff as the daughter half of the famous switch-a-roo story.

“A classic story like Freaky Friday has a magical capacity to engage multiple generations – whether it’s in the form of a book, a theatrical film, a stage show – or all of the above,” Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Channels Worldwide told Deadline.

“Working with our partners at Disney Live Theatrical, we’re thrilled to bring this classic story to life in a whole new form – a music-driven movie for television.”

We can’t wait to see the new version!
