Jacob Sartorius is back with a brand new EP!

His new project, “Left Me Hangin” includes latest hits like “Skateboard” and “Popular Girls.” He’s even added to the anticipation of this EP by announcing a tour with Hayden Summerall!

We recently caught up with Jacob to hear all about his new music and what’s next for the 15-year-old superstar. Keep scrolling to get all the details!

On what the EP means to him: The EP is called “Left Me Hanging EP” and the whole idea behind it is sometimes we’re texting people and sometimes those people don’t reply, or sometimes you call someone and they don’t reply. So this is basically my message to those people that never replied to me, growing up and to this day.

On keeping his music positive: I can talk about topics that when other people talk about it they may talk about it in a different tone than I would. But I try to talk about everything in a positive tone. In this music, I could’ve been like, “Yo text me back! Yo this is messed up!” but I am being positive, smiling and laughing.

On his new music:  I know that as an artist you have to mature, and as a person you have to mature. I started making music when I just turned 13 and now I’m turning 15 in a couple of weeks so over the past, almost two years now I matured as a person completely. I’m starting to really grow up and find what I really like, pick what music I want to make, pick what direction I want to be in career wise and all that stuff. I think honestly this music, my fans are growing up with me so we’re gonna go through the same things around the same time, I think. I just hope that people can relate to it. It’s a lot more mature and it sounds different.

On his favorite song: My favorite of all time would have to be “Skateboard.” I just think “Skateboard” is an upbeat song. That was the one that I was just so confident in. That was the one where I was like this is the song that I want to put out first to let people know about the EP. I was so confident and it’s doing really well, people are really liking it. Julia Michaels wrote it which is the sickest thing ever, she’s amazing. I’m just really excited.

On performing: I have to hype myself up. I think that’s with everything, before you go to work in the morning you got to say “It’s gonna be a good day! Im ready.” Or before you play in a basketball game or golf tournament, it’s like, “I hope I win this, but if I don’t I gave it everything I have.” On my side, I’m gonna give everything I have. I want to make these people party. I want them to have just as much fun as I have performing.

Check out a day in the life of Jacob Sartorius!
