The social media savvy cast of Disney’s ‘Club Mickey Mouse‘ definitely does not disappoint! These eight talented teens — Regan Aliyah, Jenna Alvarez, Ky Baldwin, Gabe De Guzman, Leanne Tessa Langston, Brianna Mazzola, Sean Oliu and Will Simmons — each have characteristics that make them unique, but all have one thing in common: the ability to put a smile on our face!
They totally wowed us earlier this year with their anti-bullying “Be OK” single, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they surprised us with one of our newest favorite holiday songs, “When December Comes.” Go behind-the-scenes with these triple threat phenoms and tag along for their winter wonderland adventures at Disneyland! What does “When December Comes” mean to you?
Regan: In the process of creating “When December Comes,” we sat down and made a list about our favorite things about the holidays. We compiled every little thing we do, eat and love about Christmas time. Despite having different cultures and backgrounds, we all had something in common…spending time with the ones you love. To me, I think this song perfectly captures the feelings of getting prepared for the holidays with your family.
Do you have a favorite line of lyrics from the song?
Brianna: My favorite line from “When December Comes” is “Wouldn’t be the holidays without you” because the holidays really mean a lot when you are with the people you love.
What was the best part about shooting at Disneyland?
Gabe: Honestly, the best part about shooting at Disneyland was our last take of our performance. Watching this Disney Christmas special is a tradition of my family every December 25th and it has always been my dream to perform on this special. So when we ended our piece and the confetti went off, i knew that one of my big dreams had been fulfilled!
Regan: Feeling the magic!! Getting to go to Disneyland is always an amazing time, but getting to film there was even cooler! It felt unreal to me! I loved meeting all the little kids who recognized us and just living out one of my dreams!
Where’s your favorite place to spend the holidays?
Leanne: My favorite place to spend the holidays is at home surrounded by my family and friends to share the love and appreciate the lives that we have with one another.
Sean: My favorite place to spend the holidays is wherever my family is. It really doesn’t matter where we celebrate as long as we’re together.
What’s your favorite part about being a Mouseketeer?
Brianna: My favorite part about being a part of Club Mickey Mouse is being surrounded by humble, talented kids who really love what they do.
Will: My favorite part about being in Club Mickey Mouse is, first, being part of the Disney Family and part of something that has such a special history. My other favorite part is being able to enjoy this moment with all the other Mouseketeers. We are now family and share a bond that will never be broken.
Is there something fans would be surprised to know about Club Mickey Mouse?
Jenna: The fans would be surprised to know that we used a really cool fan drawing as our contact pictures for each other in our phones!
Ky: Our parents are actually more entertaining than we are!
Leanne: My favorite part of being a part of the group is having seven other people I can call as family, as well as sharing this incredible journey with them.
