There’s a first time for everything, and Nick Jonas can’t get over his first-ever Golden Globe nomination!
In a recent interview, the former Disney Channel star opened up about the moment he found out about the nomination. He had just returned home after his Jumanji press tour and was exhausted, when a friend knocked on his front door and quickly handed him a phone. It was his manager on the other end who gave him the exciting news!
Nick is nominated for his song “Home” off of animated movie ‘Ferdinand,’ and took to Instagram right away to thank fans and family for their support:
“I’m floored to be honest and I don’t know exactly how to process it all…I’m 12 years into my career now and at some point you think, ‘I know how to emotionally process these things.’ But this is a whole new adventure in my life.”
AHHHHHH!!!! WE DID IT!!!! My song Home from FERDINAND is nominated for best original song at the Golden Globes! I am so humbled and blown away right now. I have no words. Thank you to the HFPA for this incredible honor, and to my family for being the inspiration for this song. Thank you @tranterjustin for writing this song with me and Nick Monson and John Powell for your brilliant productions of the Song.
Nick’s nomination isn’t the only surprise he’s gotten lately! In case you missed it, this is what happened at the AMAs.
