Rowan Blanchard is opening up about how she takes care of her mental health!
The 16-year-old actress and activist spoke to Coveteur about what she does to exercise her mind and stay mentally well in a world that can be full of stress.
“One thing that generally helps is running or walking around, or doing some sort of timed activity where I can just listen to music and not really think about anything else,” Rowan said. “That definitely helps your mental health, and so does trying to stay off social media as much as possible.”
As awesome as Twitter and Instagram can be, it turns out setting your phone down a bit each day can do amazing things for your wellbeing.
Rowan also recommends reading physical books and giving yourself a break from the screen.
“Daily mental health activities that I should be trying to practice more are reading books—things that are physical and not on your phone,” Rowan said. “Because I feel like a phone, subconsciously, probably really stresses us out.”
