2018 is about to be a very blessed year. 5 Seconds of Summer is coming back with a brand new album!
The Aussie band- made up of members Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford – has announced they’re returning with new music after a two year hiatus following their last release, “Sounds Good Feels Good.”
happy new year everybody ❤️
here’s to 2018 but more importantly, a new 5sos album— michael clifford (@Michael5SOS) December 31, 2017
In fact, Michael told Billboard the first single is set to drop in the “really early stages” of this year, so be prepared, people!
“I think the reason it’s taken so long is because we haven’t just wanted to get it to a place where we’re, like, happy… We want it to be perfect,” he revealed. “We’re at a point now where we’re almost ready to put out our first single.”

When it comes to the album’s sound, fans can definitely expect something a little different.
“I think when all the new stuff comes out, it’s like a departure of our old sound but it still keeps elements of all of the things we liked about it. It was just time for us to change,” Michael spilled.
We have 20 amazing songs.
Songs that I am in love with.
Please tell me you need them…— Ashton Irwin (@Ashton5SOS) October 31, 2017
