The ladies of Fifth Harmony all shine in their own way, and they’re branching out into solo projects that let them express who they are through their own music.

From former member Camila Cabello’s breakout career to rumors of Lauren Jauregui signing a solo deal to Ally Brooke and Normani Kordei taking on collabs and TV appearances, they’ve all taken steps in their own direction, but Dinah Jane says she’s been holding back.

“Sometimes when you sing someone else’s song over and over again or songs that have been given to you, you’re afraid to go out there and write one yourself,” Dinah revealed in a new interview with Flaunt.

“You start to question, ‘Well, I don’t know if my music will be as perfect as these songs I’m given. I don’t know if what I have to offer is worth radio play,’ But when you’re able to escape that mindset, the process becomes easier because it’s super authentic and real,” she adds.

When Dinah’s dreams came true and she released a stunning duet with Leona Lewis over the holidays, it inspired her to pursue exactly that.

“It sparked more creativity and passion,” she said. “I feel like there’s something in me that desires to express myself even more and not be so afraid of a solo endeavor.”

We’ll just be over here waiting for Dinah to drop her passion project whenever the time is right!

When she does, her girls will undoubtedly be cheering on.
