Riverdale fans could see Cheryl Blossom without a red lip sometime soon!

Madelaine Petsch is always spilling the tea from the Riverdale set, and she opened up in a recent interview about what’s coming up for Cheryl in season 2! This season, we have watched Cheryl become a little bit darker and secluded than the usual powerful, it-girl she truly is. She’s definitely going through a difficult time and Madelaine says that fans will see her style change as she becomes a young woman, which may mean less red for the red-headed beauty!

“I feel like that’s a part of an identity she hasn’t really clung to because her parents were so awful to her and she lost the one person who loved her. My interpretation of the red is that this is something her family has forced on her for a long time, that red is the color she always has to be wearing.”
