It’s International Women’s Day, and JoJo Siwa is celebrating in the best way possible!

The 14-year-old Nickelodeon star was recently nominated for her second-ever solo Kids’ Choice Award, and even though she took home the orange blimp last year (beating out close friend Jacob Sartorius), this year’s nomination is special to JoJo for an important reason: she’s the only girl up for the “Favorite Musical YouTube Creator” trophy!

“I don’t want to say boys have it easier because everyone works really hard…Jacob is probably the hardest worker I know…But boys have all these little girls that think they’re beautiful and love their music.”

In a recent interview, the ‘Dance Moms‘ alum — who will also be performing at this year’s KCAs — opened up to us about the different challenges girls face in the entertainment industry, and how she’s embraced those challenges and turned them into positives:

“With girls, there’s not so much of that. And so you have to be a positive girl role model that they’ll look up to. You don’t get to have the crush factor that the boys get to have…I’ve been really lucky. I found people that love me and love me for who I really am. And I love them for who they are too!”

“Nickelodeon hit me up and I said ohh yeah”🔥⚡️
