Following the series finale of “Pretty Little Liars,” fans were out-of-this world excited to hear that Mona Vanderwaal and Alison DiLaruentis would be returning in a spookier-than-ever spinoff, “PLL: The Perfectionists,” and they weren’t the only ones!
In a recent interview, actress Janel Parrish — who also recently starred in Netflix’s breakout teen rom-com “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” — took a walk down memory lane and looked back at the moment she got the good news. Remembering her bittersweet last days on set, Janel said:
“[I.] Marlene King, our creator, asked if she could go on a walk with me around the set, and she asked me, ‘How are you feeling?’ I was like, ‘I’m really sad we have to say goodbye to this world.’ And she was like, ‘Well, what if I told you I’m not ready to say goodbye to Mona yet?'”
In case you missed it, Janel recently dished on the new side of Mona we’ll see in the upcoming spinoff!
