Nia Sioux Dishes On Her Holiday Song ‘Best Christmas’ With DJ Lela B

BEST. SURPRISE. EVER!

Nia Sioux took to Instagram to announce that she would be teaming up with DJ Lela B for an epic song to celebrate the season of giving!

This modern twist on the classic Christmas tune, “Best Christmas” is everything we need to start our December off right. With the strong message of giving back this song will put you in the mood to give, give give! We recently got the chance to catch up with Nia and she talked all things “Best Christmas”! Keep scrolling to see what she had to say:

“I try to use my platforms to inspire and positively impact the lives of others and the holiday season is the perfect time to do that. The opportunity to create a new holiday song with one of my best friends, Lela B., was a perfect collaboration where we could try to show kids that it is “cool” to give and participate in community service.”

What was your inspiration behind the song?
There is currently so much negativity and despair in the world that we wanted to create a holiday song with a positive and upbeat message. The focus of the song is about giving back rather than receiving during the holidays. We wanted to challenge people to find organizations and people in their communities that they can help or give to during this holiday season.

What message do you want fans to take away from the inspiring lyrics?
The song is meant to inspire people to focus on giving rather than receiving during the holiday season. Helping people you do not know is an incredibly rewarding feeling. It is a gift to have the opportunity to help someone with no expectation of receiving something in return.

Is there one line of lyrics that stands out as your favorite?
“Gave everything he had, even dropped some cash” is my favorite lyric of the song. The idea that someone would be so selfless to give everything they owned to someone else in need really shows the Christmas spirit. That to me is the true meaning of Christmas.

What’s your favorite holiday memory?
One of my favorite holiday traditions and memories is baking cookies with my aunt, Titi Dora. We bake favorite family recipes and then bring the cookies and desserts with us when we visit family and friends. I love the smells from baking and the bonding time with family where we share stories while cooking.

This isn’t the only hit Nia has released lately. She just dropped her gushing with girl power song, “FLXXN”!
