This is most definitely the start of something new!
In case you missed it, last year “Stuck In the Middle” star Joshua Bassett was the first actor slated to set in the upcoming “High School Musical” TV series. And now, he’s joined by nine other actors – including Sofia Wylie and Olivia Rodrigo – to complete the cast!
Set to be a ten-episode series, the show will be set in the iconic halls of East High as the Wildcats count down to opening night of their school’s production of “High School Musical.” Starring as Ricky – high school junior who plans to win back his ex-girlfriend by auditioning in the musical – Joshua will act alongside Olivia who plays Nini, a girl who just found her confidence and voice. Whereas Sofia will act as Gina, a new transfer student proving her talents after being cast as an understudy. We can’t wait to see the music and love unfold on stage when the show premieres later this year!
