There’s a new Ariel in the sea, and she’s shaking things up!
“Grown-ish” star Halle Bailey (of singing sister duo Chloe x Halle) recently took to Instagram with an exciting announcement; she’s nabbed the leading role in the upcoming “Little Mermaid” remake as King Triton’s rebellious mermaid daughter, Ariel! We couldn’t me more excited to see her shine on the big screen.
Production on the sure-to-be sensational movie — which, along with “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” and “Mulan,” is one of Disney’s latest live-action revamps — is set to kick off in early 2020.
