You definitely didn’t know this fun fact about Joshua Rush and Asher Angel!

We recently caught up with the 17-year-old actor behind the endlessly supportive and selfless “Andi Mack” character Cyrus Goodman, and he gave us the inside scoop on the surprising thing the two longtime friends and costars have in common. It turns out they’ve both played young versions of Zachary Levi in a TV series or movie!

Josh — whose latest project, Universal Kids’ animated series “DreamWorks Where’s Waldo?” premiered earlier this week — played a young Chuck Bartowski on “Chuck” back in 2010, and Asher — who just dished on auditioning for Disney’s upcoming live-action “The Little Mermaid” — played Billy Batson in “Shazam.” According to Josh, there’s a simple explanation to the it’s-such-a-small-world coincidence:

“I love Asher and there’s literally no one that I could’ve been happier [to see in “Shazam!”]…We’ve both been thinking for quite a long time…that we both look really similar, so it was just further indication of that because now we’ve both played young [versions of Zachary Levi characters]…well Billy Batson isn’t exactly the young version of Shazam but it’s semantics,” he explained.

In case you missed it, Asher recently opened up about the biggest life lesson he learned from “Andi Mack.”
