Keep scrolling to catch the 411 on all things PRETTYMUCH, and find out what the talented five-some had to say!
What’s your favorite line of lyrics from “Lying” and why?
Brandon: “Just bought this California king and it’s expensive.” I literally wrote that because I recently got all new bedding and I balled out and spent way too much money but now my bed super comfy!
Nick: “It hits me right in the chest but I still wish you the best until I see you again” because I try to never have hate in my heart and no matter how much someone can do me wrong, I will always wish them the best.
Edwin: “But I’m lying when I talk to you ’cause you’re lying under someone new” because its such a clever way of telling the person you love that you really feel pain and can’t get over the fact that it’s over!
Zion: “I’ve been going out cuz I been goin’ out.”
Austin: “In case you’re wondering, I’m counting blessing” because it’s ear candy!
How does Lil Tjay’s musical style complement your own?
Brandon: He’s dope, we’re dope together. Easy!
Nick: Lil Tjay has more of a melodic style and he fits in perfectly because we all got along real well. He’s definitely one of the homies now!
Edwin: Lil Tjay is just so unapologetically him so I feel like our energies work well together. He’s also our age so we can relate coming up in the music industry at the same time.
Zion: Tjay’s style compliments us because he’s a trap-rap singer with crazy melodies.
Austin: We both respect the craft!
Who’s your next dream collaboration?
Brandon: I want to work with a DJ like Marshmello or Diplo.
Nick: Not sure, but whoever they may be, I want them to be a part of the whole song — not feel forced — just like [our collaboration with] Lil Tjay.
Edwin: Next dream collaboration for me would be Khalid…we’re great friends and would make the best music!
Zion: Next dream collab would be Lido.
Austin: Tobi Lou!
Can fans expect an album any time soon?
Brandon: Not sure when, but hopefully soon!
Nick: If it’s not an album just expect music! We are just working and creating good music.
Edwin: Not sure yet We are still working through our sound and what we want to album to be.
Zion: For sure! Expect one.
Austin: Yes! That’s all we will say.
