Why the Cast of ‘Stranger Things’ Only Wants to Film 1 Or 2 More Seasons

With season three looming just three weeks away, “Stranger Things” fans are itching to get their hands on as many new episodes as possible, but according to Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp and Gaten Matarazzo, the end of the series might be closer than expected.

While walking the red carpet at this week’s MTV Movie & TV Awards, the young stars — who play Mike Wheeler, Will Byers and Dustin Henderson respectively — revealed that they don’t want the sci-fi Netflix thriller to drag on longer than necessary. When asked how many more seasons they expect to have in store, the talented trio all agreed that the series finale could be just around the corner:

Gaten: “I think we should stop whenever the story feels like it needs to be completed. I don’t think anything should be pushed. If there’s no more story, there’s no more story.”
Finn: “I think we definitely need one more to tie it all up.”
Noah: “One or two more, at least one more.”
