Disney’s newest original movie, Let It Shine, premieres this Friday, June 15 and we invited the cast to hang out in our offices to talk about the big event. Every day until the premiere, we’ll be posting EXCLUSIVE Q&As with the cast. Today, check out our interview with Trevor Jackson and be sure to check back tomorrow and Friday for interviews with Tyler James Williams and Coco Jones!
BOP&TB: If you could choose anyone you want to star in a movie or record a song with, who would it be?
Trevor Jackson: If I had to do a song, it would have to be Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder, and all those people that I love so much, but if I had to do a movie, I’d say, either Denzel, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joe Pesci, and I think I’d love to do a movie with Kobe Bryant. He’s not even an actor, but…basketball movie?
BOP&TB: Have you ever been starstruck at any of the events you’ve been to? If so, by whom?
Trevor Jackson: I think the most starstruck I’ve been, wasn’t actually at an event. I was at the mall and I think I had to be like eleven or twelve years old and O had just come out from Omarion, and he was at the mall and I saw him and I couldn’t breathe. I was like “Yo! O…” It was crazy.
BOP&TB: Do you ever ask Coco for girl advice?
Trevor Jackson: She’s like our little sister, we wouldn’t come to her for girl advice.
BOP&TB: What makes a girl stand out to you?
Trevor Jackson: It’s just if they intrigue you at all, how they look, what they’re wearing, how they carry themselves. I find that the most attractive when they can just carry themselves like they know, not like cocky, but they know that they’re a woman and they know how they’re suppose to be treated you know? But after you meet them, there’s always a certain vibe when you shake someone’s hand, and they give you that, you know there’s always that mutual chemistry. It’s hard to explain.
