We are so obsessed with Taylor Swift’s bold cat eye look, that we had to learn how to do it for ourselves, and then of course, share with YOU everything we learned. Now, this is definitely one of the more advanced cat eye looks you will ever try, because of the inner and outer corner wings, so don’t worry if you mess up once or twice (by once or twice we mean maybe a couple of hundred times!). It takes time and patience to perfect cat eye looks.
Step 1: Apply eye primer on the entire surface of your eye lid, from the base of your lash line to right below your eyebrows.
Step 2: Starting at the outer corner of your eyelid, apply eyeliner (preferably gel with an angled brush or liquid) in a diagonal line towards the end of your eyebrow. Create a wing by drawing a new line starting at the end of your first line, bringing it back toward your eyelid crease and then filling in the wing with eyeliner.
Step 3: Using your eyeliner, draw a small triangle at the inner corner of your eye to create another wing.
Step 4: Fill in the rest of your eyelid with black eye shadow. Then in the center of your lid apply a metallic gunmetal eyeshadow and blend it towards both your outer and inner corner wings.
Step 5: Apply eyeliner across the entire length of your upper and lower lash lines. Then create a smokey look by applying the metallic gunmetal eyeshadow across the length of your bottom lash line.
Step 6: Apply Mascara and you’re done! Heavy eyeshadow calls for a nearly nude lip. But notice how Tay’s dark earrings make her eyes look even lovelier!
