It’s a sad day for Katherine Langford!
The 22-year-old actress announced, via Instagram, that if Netflix‘s hit show, ‘13 Reasons Why,’ is renewed for a third season, she will not be reprising her role as Hannah Baker.
“‘Hannah…I love you…and I let you go.’ Those are the words I was able to say six months ago, and now can finally share with you…As most of you know 13 Reasons Why was my first ever job and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to tell Hannah’s story so fully in season 1, and to be asked back for a season 2.”
Along with her heartfelt Instagram post, bidding farewell to the character that started her career, Katherine also opened up about leaving the show in a recent interview.
She revealed that it was important for her to be a part of season two since she wanted the opportunity to allow viewers to see Hannah throughout everyone else’s eyes. We’re sad to see Hannah go, but excited to see what new projects are in Katherine’s future!
