It looks like we’re going to have to wait another year for “Stranger Things” season three!

With the Netflix hit-series having dropped its first and second season in July 2016 and October 2017 – a little over a year apart – it seems only fitting that fans would expect to have the show’s highly-anticipated third season premiere sometime within the coming months. According to the streaming service’s Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland, this is not the case.

In a recent interview, Cindy revealed that because of the hard work that the creators and cast are putting into the show’s third season that it is expected to be released next summer. We’re definitely sad that we won’t be seeing Eleven and the gang until next year, the best part about “Stranger Things” is that it’s always there for us to binge watch old episodes!

“[The Duffer Brothers] want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so, they really want to take the time to get it right. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic season; it’s gonna be worth the wait.”
