9 Artists You Didn’t Know Could Play Multiple Instruments
Zack Caspary

We can’t believe how talented these artists are!

Most mainstream singers and band members can play one instrument; but these stars can play anywhere from two to six instruments! From Daniel Seavey to Dylan Minnette, it’s safe to say that these artists are blessed with musical talent.

1. Daniel Seavey from Why Dont We: Cello, recorder, viola, bass, violin, bass loop pedal.
In one interview, he joked around that the list goes on and on, and he can even play a strange instrument called the crumhorn. Can you say multi-talented?

2. Ashton Irwin from 5 Seconds of Summer: Guitar piano, and saxophone.
Most 5SOS fans adore Ash for his amazing drumming skills, but most don’t know that he can also play the guitar and saxophone!

3. Dylan Minnette from 13 Reasons Why: Vocals and guitar.
Did you know Dylan has his very own band? The band, who goes by the name of  ‘the Wallows,’ was started last year and has been producing hit after hit ever since. Dylan is the lead of the band, providing his amazing vocals and guitar skills. Who knew one of our favorite actors was an amazing singer and guitar player as well?

4. Demi Lovato: Piano and guitar.
Demi began playing piano at age seven and guitar at ten, which is about the same age when she began dancing and acting classes, which led to her first big gig: Camp Rock!

5. Taylor Swift: Banjo, guitar, piano, ukulele.
Tay started as a country singer, so it only makes sense that she knows how to play the guitar and banjo! As the years went on, she picked up more instruments, like the piano and ukulele.

6. Bradley Will Simpson from The Vamps: Piano and ukulele.
Brad is known for his angelic voice, but little do most fans know, he can also play the piano and ukulele like a champ!

7. Ed Sheeran: Guitar, piano, bass, drums, cello, bass loop.
Ed began playing all of these instruments at a super young age, mastering them as the years went on. Now, he uses a device called the bass loop pedal to incorporate all of the sounds into one song at his live shows, like at this Grammy performance!

8. Nick Jonas: Guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, percussion, drums.
Since his Jonas Brothers days, Nick has always been known as a multitalented artist. We wish that we could play HALF the number of instruments that he can!

9. Grace Vanderwaal: Ukulele, saxophone.
Most Grace fans know that she can play the ukulele (she brought it on stage with her for every single performance on America’s Got Talent!) But did you know she could play the saxophone as well?
