Did someone say dream team?!

In case you missed it, Annie LeBlanc and Sky Katz are teaming up for not one, but two special live shows in New York City this week — and dropping a sure-to-be fire collab! To celebrate, we got the inside scoop on the upcoming track, titled “Who You Are.”

If you want to catch the multitalented teens, be sure to grab tickets to Annie & Sky Live on June 15th at The Big Apple’s Florence Gould Hall Theater.

“We wanted to write something together that had a positive message without being cheesy. I think we accomplished that! We really loved working on this song and I can’t wait to perform it in front of our fans,” Annie gushed.

What is the message behind the song “Who You Are”?
Annie: It’s all about girl power and letting all the girls out there know how important they are to the world, and that we need to be building each other up, not tearing each other down.
Sky: After listening to the song, I want everyone to be themselves and remember that you are your toughest critic and not to listen to what anybody else says or thinks. Do you, boo!

When it comes to your music, how do your sounds differ?
Sky: My songs have more of a hip-hop vibe compared to Annie’s. Both of our sounds are cool, but different. That’s why it’s so dope when we combine our styles in “Who You Are.”
Annie: Well I can’t rap, so that’s probably the biggest difference!

What was the recording process like?
Annie: Fans would probably be surprised to know how fast we recorded it. It was super quick! We recorded the song in NYC and we only had two hours to do it before I had to hop on a plane to fly back to LA.

Can’t wait to hear “Who You Are” by Annie LeBlanc and Sky Katz? In the meantime, stay in the loop on all the latest and greatest music from your favorite artists!
