Why We’re Taking Part in ‘Black Out Tuesday’ on June 2nd

Stand up. Speak out. Make a difference.

On June 2nd, TigerBeat will proudly take part in “Black Out Tuesday.” We stand in solidarity, alongside our entertainment industry peers, against racial injustices of any kind. Together, we’re disconnecting from work and reconnecting with our community in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death. The 46-year-old Black man suffered fatal injuries last week while being arrested by the Minneapolis police, and his death has ignited an outpour of support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

In an effort to take an urgent step of action, provoke accountability and demand change, we will not be posting on any of our platforms. Instead, it will be a day of reflection.

Social issues can be uncomfortable, sensitive, and controversial topics to discuss, but it’s crucial that we all use our voices to stand up against the systematic racism that persists in our country. The time is now.

Join us in our efforts to ignite change! Here’s how you can get involved.
