I’m a 17-year-old young man from Kansas City, Missouri, with a dream!

I’ve had a passion for hair ever since I was about 2 years old. It all started back in 2005 when I realized I had an obsession with hair. I know this going to sound funny, but when I was 2, I would swing toilet paper around, imagining it was hair…I called her Minnie, LOL!

I’ve been fortunate to have a mother who has always stood by me and has lifted me up, even when I was broken. I think my 7th grade year was one of my lowest and worst times in my life because the bullying was so bad. Kids attacked me because I didn’t like to play football or basketball. I liked hair. That situation caused to me say, “Forget it, I’m done with hair,” and I locked my hidden talent away.

My mom told her friend what was happening, and he put something special together for me on YouTube. He created a video for me with several celebrities and successful entrepreneurs encouraging me to keep pushing. Cedric The Entertainer, along with many others, shared powerful messages that helped change my whole perspective!

At the end of 2016, I decided to unlock the door — and that’s when I came up with the idea to make custom wigs! Seeing how Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj wore their hair inspired me to want to create luxury wigs that have an unblemished illusion of being a person’s real hair. That’s where my company, TrentonsLuxeCouture (“Where your hair dreams come true”), started; T is for Tender, L is for Love, C is for Care.

My overall outlook is to treat people Tenderly and to Love everyone, even if they don’t love and Care about others. I’m on a mission to not only make wigs for people, but in the process, make them feel beautiful and also to make them feel like they matter. That’s what I stand for!
