Where did Boys World get their name? Now we know!

During a recent episode of our live interview series Friends From Afar, we caught up with Olivia, Elana, Makhyli, Queenie, and Lillian, who spilled on the inspiration behind their debut single “Girlfriends,” the surprising story behind how they came together to form a girl group, and the important message behind their clever group name. “Boys” is actually an acronym for “best of yourself”!

But they weren’t always called Boys World! The talented five-some also revealed that they originally went by Ivy Girls Club. Who knew?!

“[We ended up not being able to use it] since there were some legal things…so we had to com up with a new name. We always wanted “boys” in the name…and “world” was on the list. When we read it, we were like, ‘oh wait!’,” Lillian explained.
