“The Hate U Give” is coming out in one month and we can’t wait!
Over the weekend, Amandla Stenberg – along with KJ Apa and the rest of the film’s cast – took over the Toronto International Film Festival with the premiere of their upcoming movie based on the critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller of the same name.
Before premiering the movie to those attending the festival, Amandla hit the red carpet to dish on all things about this inspiring movie, set to hit theaters on October 19th. She opened up about the cast’s big night by revealing what she hopes viewers take away from the film. See what she had to say:
“Hopefully it will make a lot of people feel something and if we’ve done that, then we’ve done something right.”
