Watch: Jenna Ortega Visits Her Hometown Shelter to Raise Awareness for Youth Homelessness

Jenna Ortega is giving back in the best way possible.

Each year, an estimated 4.2 million young people experience homelessness in the United States. That’s why DoSomething.org and AĆ©ropostale have teamed up to bring back the largest youth-led denim drive ever: Teens for Jeans. In support of the impactful campaign, which has already donated over 5 million jeans to youth in need, the 17-year-old “Stuck In The Middle” alum recently visited her hometown youth shelter.

During her visit to SafeHosue of the Desert, a shelter serving the Coachella Valley of California, Jenna had the opportunity to sit down with two amazing young women to learn more about their experiences with homelessness and the negative social stigmas they face in their everyday lives. Tag along for the candid and compassionate sit-down to learn more about Teens for Jeans, and text TEENS to 38383 to find out how you can run a drive to collect gently used jeans for young people experiencing homelessness.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been inspired by Jenna’s passion for positivity! Remember when she opened up about using her platform to ignite social change in this exclusive TigerBeat 19under19 video?
