You go, girl!
Everyone knows JoJo Siwa loves her bows, but not everyone knows why! During a recent appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the 16-year-old singer — who recently made history when she became the youngest person to ever headline London’s O2 Arena — opened up about the origin and evolution of her infamous accessories.
JoJo explained that as a dancer, she’s been wearing bows for as long as she can remember, and over time, they’ve grown bigger and bigger as she’s gotten older. But what started as a fashion statement quickly turned into a kind deed. Now, the talented teens hopes to help give kids a safe space in their every day lives:
“As I realized that bows were a part of my life, I realized that I wanted them to mean something…If you’re wearing a bow, or you see someone wearing a bow, that means that you’re a Siwanator. Say you’re at school, you don’t have anyone to play with at recess or you don’t have anyone to sit at lunch with. If you see someone wearing a JoJo bow, you know that you can sit with them or you know that you can play with them because that person will be nice to you,” she explained.
In case you missed it, this is what JoJo has to say to haters who want her to “grow up”!
