Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are just too cute together! Last night at the People’s Choice Awards, the Vampire Diaries stars joked about their break-up while accepting the award for Best On-Screen Chemistry

“At the beginning of the show, Elena actually hated Damon,” Nina said. “And then we dated on the show.”

“And then we started dating in real life,” Ian added. “Then we broke up in real life,” she said. “And yet our characters are still dating on the show.” he finished.

“It’s a good thing it’s not awkward…Well, it’s a good thing we have chemistry!” Nina laughed.

We agree, Nina! And while we miss seeing these two together, it’s nice to see that they can still remain friends despite their break-up!
