In honor of the ‘Just Add Magic’ season two premiere tomorrow, we caught up with Olivia Sanabia, who plays Kelly on Amazon’s hit show, to learn about her passion for acting and how she got started!
TigerBeat: How long have you been acting for?
Olivia Sanabia: I’ve been acting for about seven years now. I started with musical theater when I was six years old and then two years later, I decided I wanted to do it professionally.
TigerBeat: Was there a certain moment that sparked your interest in pursuing a career in acting?
Olivia Sanabia: Yes! I remember when I saw the movie ‘Ramona and Beezus’ with my mom, I was so inspired by Joey King because she was my age, and living out my dream.
TigerBeat: That’s awesome! Take us back to when you auditioned for the role of Kelly on ‘Just Add Magic.’
Olivia Sanabia: When I first got the script, I fell in love with the show. It was so close to me and relatable, so I felt really great going into my audition.
TigerBeat: Were you nervous at all?
Olivia Sanabia: Oh my gosh, yes! There are certain projects that I get nervous for, and those are usually the ones that I want the most. T
igerBeat: What can you tell us about season two of ‘Just Add Magic’?
Olivia Sanabia: This season is crazy. It’s ten times the mystery and magic of the first season. I think the intensity grows so much because there’s a new villain in town, and he kind of throws the girls for a major loop. I’m really excited for everyone to see it.
