Asher Angel could be in the running to play the coveted Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action version of “The Little Mermaid,” and nothing else matters. In a recent interview, the 16-year-old “Andi Mack” actor, who recently made major waves on the big screen as Billy Batson in “Shazam,” revealed that he auditioned for the upcoming remake of the under-the-sea classic just last week. OMG!
He also gushed about Halle Bailey (of our favorite singing sister duo Chloe x Halle), who will be playing Ariel, and dished on the meaningful connection he has to the movie:
“It means so much to me. I started off doing musical theater…One of my first ever shows, I was Flounder. It was really cute. There’s video everywhere, if you guys want to look it up,” Asher explained.
