This weekend Nickelodeon is premiering a spooky new show, The Haunted Hathaways. It’s about two girls, Taylor (Amber Montana) and Frankie (Breanna Yde) who move to New Orleans with their Mom (Ginifer King), only to realize their new home is haunted! Their house is haunted not only by one ghost, but by a whole family of them, Louie (Benjamin “Lil P-Nut” Flores Jr.), Miles (Curtis Harris), and their Dad (Chico Benymon).
We got to visit the set a while back, meet the cast, and learn about their characters before the show airs. We chatted with Amber and Curtis, who play the two older siblings, Taylor Hathaway and Miles, about the show. Amber’s character is a girly girl who just wants to make friends and fit in, while her little sister loves all things spooky and embraces the ghosts. She ends up making friends with ghost boy Miles, played by Curtis, who only wants to get along with the Hathaways and hopes to make new friends. His little brother just wants to scare everyone away.
In the end, everyone has to overcome their differences because the ghosts and the Hathaways promise to try and make their situation work, so they can live in the house together. They become one silly ghost-human family and hilarious pranks and spooks occur. The show will air Saturday nights at 8:30 on Nickelodeon and it begins this Saturday, July 13!
