When the news was released today that Wizards of Waverly Place was announced for a primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Children’s Programming, we were so excited for the entire cast and crew. We even got a chance to talk to Jake T. Austin about the nomination. Here’s what he had to say!
“We’re all really excited. This is the fourth year in a row and we’re just taking each one for what it’s worth. This is definitely a great honor for us.”
Jake says the whole cast is going to try to make it to the Emmys to celebrate their nomination and this will be the first in-person reunion for them since the show wrapped! It’s great to get together at a big Hollywood event like this, but Jake says that on their own time, the WOWP cast would plan a much more relaxed reunion.
“If a Wizards reunion came up, I know everyone is based in Los Angeles right now, so I’m sure the first choice would either be Santa Monica or Venice Beach,” Jake spilled. “Just something fun and outdoors and, if you choose an environment like the beach or the boardwalk where you can really just be out and really take in the environment and enjoy who you’re being around, that’s always a great place.”
