Mac Miller is head over heels for Ariana Grande!
But let’s make one thing clear: Even though Ari sings on ‘My Favorite Part,’ Mac’s album is not a love letter to his new BAE.
“My Favorite Part” was one of the last songs we made. I had talked about doing a record with her for the album. We hadn’t talked in a really long time, and I bring her this song, and then we go to the studio and do her part. And then, after that. . . . we started spending more time together.
The song was written when they were “just friends,” but sparks were definitely flying:
“That song is beautiful and it’s an aspect about my life. I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate [talking about my relationship]. It’s tricky. But as long as I’m honest, I’m good with it.”
Ariana and Mac made their official debut as a couple at the VMAs, and they’ve been on cloud nine since then. Think sweet Snapchats, selfies, and lots of PDA. Clearly the honeymoon stage won’t end anytime soon!
Despite all the buzz that comes with dating a star like Queen Ari, he’s determined to keep the relationship low-key:
“Let the world speak, say whatever. That stuff is just its own thing. It’s different for me, but it has nothing to do with us, it’s its own separate thing.”
