The new trailer for Girl vs. Monster is out and it has us in the Halloween spirit – and excited about this movie! We got the chance to visit star Olivia Holt on the movie’s set and we decided it was the perfect time to share a Q&A from our interview with her. Check out the trailer, plus Olivia’s super exclusive scoop about the movie, below.
BOP&TB: Tell us about the movie!
Olivia Holt: Girl vs. Monster is about my character, Skylar Lewis, who finds out she is a fifth generation monster hunter. She is this regular teenage girl who goes through her ups and downs. She has to stay home on Halloween and her parents set an alarm on the house, so she, like any other teenager, thinks, “I’m going to sneak out.” She tries to sneak out, but she ends up trying to off the power to sneak out and releases all of these monsters that her parents have got. Basically, what she has to do is save Halloween and make it all better again.
BOP&TB: You get to wear some cool outfits in the movie. Tell us about your favorite item in your wardrobe.
Olivia Holt: I’m a big boot person, so they had me wearing boots throughout this whole entire movie, which I love! My character gets to wear these cute black combat boots, a pink leather jacket with a green top, and flowery jeans. Oh my goodness, it’s incredible! And when I have all the monster gear on, it make it look like ten times better.
BOP&TB: And why should BOP&TB readers tune in for Girl vs. Monster?
Olivia Holt: You should tune in to Girl vs. Monster because it’s a Halloween movie that you will not expect and you’ve never seen one like it before. It’s a great movie. You have singing, dancing, fighting monsters, best friends forever, love and just all of the above.
