Madelaine Petsch is honored to play a bisexual female character!

The ‘Riverdale‘ actress — who recently debunked some of the internet’s craziest fan theories about The CW’s teen drama-mystery — opened up about Cheryl Blossom’s complexities in a recent interview, and even teased an impending new romance on the horizon for her red-haired River Vixen!

Could it be BFF Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray)? Or arch enemy Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan)? Or someone else entirely? Only time will tell, but no matter who Cheryl’s new bae may be, Mads revealed that she’s proud to play a fluid character who is an honest representation of reality:

“I am beyond honored to bring bisexuality in females to the screen more…I think it’s great that we’re living in a generation where I can play a character that’s fluid, and that’s something that really is happening in the world, and it’s socially acceptable.”
